Home Checks

We are currently complying a list of people able to do carry out home checks in their area. The home check is used to see if potential homes are suitable for the dog to ensure that he or she will be safe and happy. We do not have a set criteria, instead we do a home check depending on the individual dog. To do a home check you need to have experience and understanding of owning a dog, be able to ask questions confidently and have a good sense of humour!
It would help if you have some experience of home checking or attended the RSPCA home checking course, but we will be happy for you to shadow an experienced home checker if you haven’t.
